Though not planned for discussion or business during Rossford’s first post-Election Day meeting, the future of the city’s fire department took center stage during audience remarks. At the November 13 meeting, three residents spoke about the issue of full-time service for Rossford.

The Perrysburg Township trustees acted on a number of matters involving the zoning department, including an increase in the zoning inspector’s wage. At the November 15 meeting, the trustees approved a pay increase of 5.3 percent for Kelly Moore effective with the next pay period.

Four zoning requests received approval from the Wood County Planning Commission at the November 7 meeting. Submitted by Feller Finch and Associates, three of the requests are in Perrysburg Township and involve: •final roadway dedication plat for South Compass Drive.

Matthew Ball, “The Boogie Woogie Kid,” also known as the piano and song man of five million YouTube views, will perform a concert at Owens Community College on Thursday, November 30. Part of the Accent on Arts Series, the performance will begin at 7:30 p.m., in the Center for Fine and Performing Arts, 7270 Biniker Road, Perrysburg.

Penta Career Center will host its annual Career Night 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, December 4. at its campus, 9301 Buck Road, Perrysburg Township.

On November 15, TARTA held a Next is Now presentation, informing the community of the work that the organization has done this year and sharing plans for what is to come. “We are working towards expanding regional connections, strengthening customer experiences and improving urban mobility,” said TARTA CEO, Laura Koprowski.
