Lucas County Retired Teachers’ Association awards 2025 scholarship

On October 16, the Lucas County Retired Teachers’ Association awarded a $1,000 scholarship to each of the following University of Toledo College of Education students: Rachel Seekins, Mackenzie Kirkendall and Emma Fritsch.

The Rossford Meijer store recently awarded a $5,000 donation to the 577 Foundation through the Meijer Team Gives initiative.

Notice to Wood County dog owners

Matthew Oestreich, Wood County auditor, announces that beginning December 1, applications for 2026 dog registrations may be filed.Ohio law provides that before January 31 of each year, all owners of dogs three months of age or older shall be registered in the county in which the dog is kept.

Rossford receives two grants totaling over five million dollars

“We got some good news this week,” said Mayor Neil MacKinnon III during Rossford City Council’s regular meeting on November 24. “Back in 2022, former director of development Todd Odette completed a traffic access plan for the Crossroads area.

City council members sworn in

Rossford City Council swore in new member Ryan Stautzenbach and returning members Bob Toth, Brenna Reynolds and Caroline Zuchowski-Eckel for the next four years on December 1. Caroline Zuchowski-Eckel was voted in as Council President and Robert Watrol was reappointed as the Council Clerk.

Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra Christmas concert is December 5

The Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Travis Jurgens, will combine with the Perrysburg Chorale and students from Notre Dame Academy to present Benjamin Britten’s, “St. Nicholas’s” cantata on Friday, December 5, at All Saints Catholic Church in Rossford, at 7:30 p.m.

Toledo Helps Ukraine hosts fourth Cookie Walk Fundraiser

Toledo Helps Ukraine/4ua.org, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is hosting its fourth annual Cookie Walk on Saturday, December 13, from 9 to 11 a.m., or until sold out, at the Rossford Recreation Center, 400 Dixie Highway. All proceeds go toward the humanitarian work of Toledo Helps Ukraine.
