NAMI lists upcoming support groups, classes

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Wood County is a self-help organization offering events, educational classes, support groups and other programs that address mental health. It has a variety of programming throughout the year that is free and available to all Wood County residents.

Lifelong Learning Academy announces spring courses

The LivelyU Lifelong Learning Academy is a platform of programming offered through the Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc. (WCCOA) in partnership with the Bowling Green State University (BGSU) Optimal Aging Institute. The Academy is designed to enhance programming with opportunities for lifelong learning.

Rossford PD to provide Safety Town program

The Rossford Police Department will present the 2024 Safety Town program from June 10 to June 14, with classes running from 9 a.m. to noon at Rossford Elementary School, 28500 Lime City Road.

Wood SWCD tree sale

The 2024 tree seedling sale offers conifers: American Arborvitae, Norway Spruce, Bald Cypress and White Pine; deciduous: Pin Oak, Black Maple and River Birch; wildlife shrubs: Arrowwood, Ninebark and Common Lilac. Packets are $15 for ten seedlings.

Wolcott Guild lecture series begins March 7

The Wolcott Guild lecture series will be presented on Thursdays in March, at 10 a.m., at the Maumee Library Branch, 501 River Road. The free series is offered in conjunction with the Toledo Public Library system.
