American Legion to host golf scrambles July 20

The Rossford American Legion Post 533 will host its golf scrambles on Saturday, July 20, at 8:30 a.m., at Green Meadows Country Club in Monroe, Michigan.Cash prizes will be awarded to the two teams with the lowest scores, and to men and women for long drives and closest to the pin.

Alzheimer’s Association seeking local volunteers

The Alzheimer’s Association is seeking volunteers for numerous initiatives across Northwest Ohio, including community education, support groups, fund-raisers, advocacy and Walks to End Alzheimer’s.The local chapter serves 24 counties including Fulton, Lucas, Ottawa, Seneca and Wood.

Safe Communities releases crash data for first six months

Safe Communities recently released its crash data for the first six months of 2024. There have been nine fatalities to date, compared to six at this time last year.“We see it every day–persons going too fast to get where they want to go as quickly as possible,” said Sandy Wiechman, coordinator.
