October is National Lewy Body Dementia month

There are 1.4 million people nationwide who live with Lewy body dementia (LBD) according to the Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA). There is a critical need for more attention, research and treatments for people with dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB).

Wood County Committee on Aging to recognize veterans

The Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc. (WCCOA) will honor Wood County veterans, age 50 and older, with a special delivery to their homes. The first 85 veterans registered will receive a velvet poppy pin, yard sign and a slice of pie delivered on Monday, November 4, between 1 and 4 p.m.

Hospice to host Gentle Yoga for Grief workshop

Community members are invited to a free, six-week yoga workshop aimed at connecting the mind, body and heart of those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Gentle Yoga for Grief will be held Fridays from 10 to 11 a.m.

Rossford Eagles Auxiliary annual holiday craft show

Rossford Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 2322 will hold their annual holiday craft show on Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 658 Lime City Road. Handmade crafts will be available along with a vendor raffle and 50/50 drawing. Breakfast burritos and lunch will be available for purchase.
