County museum to host ‘turkey drop’

The Wood County Museum has partnered with Toledo Aerial Media (TAM) for a fun and unique fundraising event. A (foam) Turkey Drop is set for Friday, November 15, at 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Wood County Museum.Clint Corpe, of the Morning Show, radio station 88.

Halloween is enjoyed by people of all ages, but few get a bigger kick out of the holiday than children. There are costumes to be worn, time spent with friends and the opportunity to collect free candy and other treats.

Meijer is hosting a baby gear recycling event through Saturday, November 9, at all locations.The event is meant to provide an easy and sustainable way for customers to get rid of unneeded, expired or damaged baby items, including car seats and strollers.

Rossford Eagles Auxiliary annual holiday craft show

Rossford Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 2322 will hold their annual holiday craft show on Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 658 Lime City Road. Handmade crafts will be available along with a vendor raffle and 50/50 drawing. Breakfast burritos and lunch will be available for purchase.

Pupcycling event set for Nov. 15

Metroparks Toledo is hosting an upcycling event, Pupcycling, on Friday, November 15, from 3 to 6 p.m., in the Ward Pavilion at Wildwood Preserve Metropark.Staff, their families and other volunteers are invited to help repurpose old Metroparks camp shirts to create dog toys for local shelters.

Wood County Committee on Aging to recognize veterans

The Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc. (WCCOA) will honor Wood County veterans, age 50 and older, with a special delivery to their homes. The first 85 veterans registered will receive a velvet poppy pin, yard sign and a slice of pie delivered on Monday, November 4, between 1 and 4 p.m.
