Fall classes at the Rossford Library

Rossford Public Library is exited to offer fall classes to the community. Registration is requested for all programs by calling 419-666-0924.Fall Early Literacy Sessions•1-2-3 Read! (1 to 3 year olds) Tuesdays at 6 p.m., September 17 to October 29. Wednesdays at 10 a.m., September 18 to October 30.

Rossford United Methodist Church celebrating 125 years

Ability Center hosts family fun day Aug. 24

The Ability Center, 5605 Monroe Street, Sylvania, will host a family fun day from noon to 3 p.m., Saturday, August 24.The event will feature wheelchair basketball, face painting, “Party on a Track” video games and bounce houses.

Citizens Police Academy to be offered by RPD

Rossford residents are invited to participate in a Citizens Police Academy hosted by the Rossford Police Department this fall. The program will be offered Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m., September 4 through October 30.

The Cocoon awarded grant

The Cocoon, Wood County’s only comprehensive domestic and sexual violence advocacy center and emergency shelter, has been awarded a grant from the Gordon Flesch Charitable Foundation.Since 2002, the foundation has given more than $2.
