The Wood County Information Technology Department detected ransomware on the county government’s computer network on Monday, December 9. As soon as this was learned, Wood County staff began working to investigate and determine the effects of the incident.

The American Red Cross encourages donors to keep the blood supply top of mind by giving blood or platelets this month. Type O negative blood donors and those giving platelets are especially urged to give now to help ensure patients can continue to receive the care they need in the coming weeks.

Wood County jail passes annual inspection

The Wood County Sheriff’s Office has received a 100 percent passage of the annual jail inspection conducted by the state Bureau of Adult Detention. The Department of Rehabilitation and Correction inspected the jail on November 5.

Perrysburg Twp. food distribution

The Perrysburg Township food distribution will be held Thursday, December 12, from 8 to 10 a.m.The township fire department will sponsor the food give-away at the township building, 26609 Lime City Road, the second Thursday of each month.
