Olive Wicks completed Rossford Public Library’s 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Olive is 2 years old and in addition to reading, she loves all things Bluey and My Little Pony.Disney’s “Lady and the Tramp” is her favorite movie and she likes to eat spaghetti and broccoli.

SOS Club to create Veterans Day flag display

The Rossford High School SOS Club is creating a temporary flag display for Veterans Day, along Superior Street in front of the school. The display will honor the sacrifices and memory of military veterans.Cost is $5 per flag, checks should be made payable to Rossford Schools with SOS Club in memo.

Annual holiday art and craft show is November 9 in BG

The 20th annual General Federation of Women’s Club of Bowling Green holiday art and craft show is set for Saturday, November 9, at First United Methodist Church, 1526 East Wooster Street, Bowling Green, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.

Toledo Toy Show coming to Rossford, October 12

The Toledo Toy Show will return on Saturday, October 12, at the TOCA Soccer and Sports Center, 10020 South Compass Drive, Rossford—directly behind Meijer on State Route 20. Admission is $5 per person with kids under 12 admitted free. Early bird entry is available from 7:30 to 9 a.m.

Safe Communities releases crash statistics, October events

On September 30, Safe Communities released crash statistics for the first nine months of 2024. There have been 16 fatal crashes, the same number at this time last year.Sandy Wiechman, Safe Communities coordinator, pointed out that October is a busy month for traffic safety educational efforts.
