Winter break at 577

The 577 Foundation’s gardens and grounds will be closed on the following dates to allow staff and volunteers a break: Tuesday, December 24; Wednesday, December 25; Tuesday, December 31; and Wednesday, January 1. The Welcome Center and Curiosity Shop also will close for cleaning and restocking.

Pinnacle Builders recently received two Greater Toledo Choice Awards at the Toledo Homebuilders Association’s annual banquet. The event was held at the Hilton Garden Inn at Levis Commons.

Owens John Deere Tech Program honored with platinum award

The John Deere Tech Program at Owens Community College was honored with the College of Tomorrow’s highest honor, the platinum award.The College of Tomorrow was created in 2011 to improve the alignment and processes across all John Deere College Partnership Programs in the United States.

New toll rate schedules begin in January 2025

The Ohio Turnpike’s toll rates will increase on January 1, 2025. The cash or credit card toll rate for passenger vehicles (Class 1) will increase to 10.4 cents per mile in 2025 from 9.6 cents per mile in 2024. The toll rate for E-ZPass customers with passenger vehicles will increase to 7.
