Zoar Lutheran Church’s Kitchen of Hope will start up on Friday, October 25.In John 21:15b, Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.” Kitchen of Hope is Zoar’s response to Jesus’ call to care for their neighbors by providing nutritious free meals.

WCCOA offers diabetes self-management workshop

The Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc. will offer a six-week Diabetes Self-Management Workshop at the Wood County Senior Center, 140 South Grove Street, Bowling Green. The program will be held on Tuesdays, November 5 to December 10, from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Saint Rose Catholic School students held a popcorn sale during their recess time. Proceeds went to Catholic Charities USA and its efforts to send relief to people impacted by the recent hurricanes. The students raised $394.

Christmas home tour set for Saturday, December 7

October is National Lewy Body Dementia month

There are 1.4 million people nationwide who live with Lewy body dementia (LBD) according to the Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA). There is a critical need for more attention, research and treatments for people with dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB).

Wood County Committee on Aging to recognize veterans

The Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc. (WCCOA) will honor Wood County veterans, age 50 and older, with a special delivery to their homes. The first 85 veterans registered will receive a velvet poppy pin, yard sign and a slice of pie delivered on Monday, November 4, between 1 and 4 p.m.
