WCCOA to offer chronic disease self-management workshop set

Wood County Committee on Aging will offer a better health for a better you, chronic disease self-management workshop on Wednesday, October 15 to November 19, from 9 to 11:30 a.m., at the Perrysburg Area Senior Center, 140 West Indiana Avenue.Cost is $20 and includes textbook and relaxation CD.

Girl Scouts visit Owens for occupational therapy workshops

The Owens Community College Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program welcomed ten Girl Scouts from Perrysburg and Oak Harbor for a summer workshop, “OT and Innovation.” The scouts learned about occupational therapy, including how it helps people, as well as sensory tools and adaptive equipment.

Fort Meigs will host “Life in Early Ohio” September 20 and 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at their historic site, 29100 West River Road.“Life in Early Ohio” is a living history event featuring the skills, trades and tools necessary to survive the Ohio frontier in the early 1800s.
