Steam Threshers to host antique display July 16

The days of yesteryear will be on display Sunday, July 16, at the Five Point Steam Threshers 61st annual reunion. The event, free and open to the public, will feature wheat threshing and plowing demonstrations, along with a variety of antique tractors, gas and steam engines.

Final days to join the Rossford 125th Anniversary parade

Area business owners, organizations, schools and performance groups are invited to join the Rossford 125th Anniversary parade on Saturday, July 29, at 10 a.m., beginning and ending at Veterans Memorial Park. Parade entry deadline is this Friday, July 14. Twp. Trustees to pursue grant opportunity for roundabout

Four projects with a potential to receive grant funding were addressed with the Perrysburg Township trustees opting to pursue a grant for one of the more critical projects. At the July 5 meeting, Tom Yurysta, engineer with Proudfoot Associates LLC, presented four grant opportunities through the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments for the organization’s 2025-28 program years.

Ohio Lake Erie Commission releases 2023 plan to protect the Great Lake

The Ohio Lake Erie Commission approved its 2023 Lake Erie Protection and Restoration plan at the June quarterly meeting. The LEPR, last published in 2020, reflects actions the Ohio Lake Erie Commission and its member agencies will undertake over the next two years to protect, preserve and restore the great lake and promote economic development for the region.
