The Rossford Business Association will award four $500 scholarships again this year, to seniors who are either a resident of the City of Rossford or Perrysburg Township. Applications can be picked up in the guidance counselor’s office at Rossford High School or at Inside Out Self Storage office, 194 Dixie Highway, Rossford.

“Early Ohio on the Portage River,” a free family event, will be held May 3 to 5, on the grounds of the Wood County Museum. Hours are Friday, 10 a.m.

Residents are invited to the Rossford Public Library, 720 Dixie Highway, for “lentils your way,” a program teaching recipes and exploring the nutritional value and health benefits of lentils. It is presented by Shannon Smith of the OSU extension office on Friday, May 10, at 2 p.m.

Wood County Park District will offer nature camps Tuesday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the W.

A Comedy For The Critters fund-raiser, to benefit Nature’s Nursery, will be held Saturday, May 4, at the Maumee Indoor Theater. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m.

Unison Health, in partnership with the Wood County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services Board (ADAMHS), will offer a new Substance Use Disorder (SUD) navigation program, a new initiative that works one on one with individuals in Wood County struggling with substance use.

The Ohio Highway Patrol (OHP) joined forces with other members of the 6-State Trooper Project to focus on distracted driving enforcement. During the project, 1,255 people in Ohio were charged with distracted driving.

Area residents who enjoy vacationing at Indian Lake State Park will be able to continue to do so this spring and summer. The park is now open following damage from the tornado and severe storms that struck Logan County on March 14.
