Bulldogs improve, come up short at Eastwood, 52-45

The Rossford High School Bulldogs varsity boys basketball team traveled to Eastwood on January 23 to face the league-leading Eagles. In typical fashion, the game came down to the wire with Eastwood leading most of the way, but the Bulldogs scrapping and keeping things close.

Bulldogs unable to overcome slow start

The Rossford Bulldogs were defeated by the Evergreen Vikings, 71-48 in the fourth annual MLK Basketball Showcase at Rossford. The all-day event featured high school basketball action from several local teams. The Bulldogs and the Vikings played in the culminating game of the day.

Bulldogs fall to Fostoria, 76‐40

The Rossford varsity boys basketball team suffered a decisive loss to the Fostoria Redmen last Friday night, 76-40. It was a game where Fostoria’s experience clearly stood out, and Rossford fought hard all night to keep pace.

Rockets roll over Bulldogs, 68-49

On December 5, the Rossford Bulldogs varsity boys basketball team opened league play with a 68-49 loss to new league members, the Oak Harbor Rockets. As in the first game, the Bulldogs struggled, turning the ball over 21 times with the Rockets converting 23 points off turnovers.

League honors for volleyball announced

David Bringman, the Northern Buckeye Conference commissioner, has announced the following honors for Rossford High School girls volleyball. Earning All-League First Team honors was Olivia Rust. Honorable Mention honors went to Sophia Shinavar and Bennett Murtha.

Lions Club offering photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus

The Perrysburg Lions Club will hold an evening of photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the American Legion Schaller Hall, 130 West Indiana Avenue. The event will be on Monday, November 20, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Rossford Bulldogs edged by Flyers, 34‐33

In a back-and-forth offensive shootout, the Rossford Bulldogs came up on the wrong side of a last-second nail-biter, falling to the Lake Flyers, 34-33. Both teams entered the game with identical 1-5 overall records and were winless in the conference.

Eastwood beats Bulldogs on second-half surge, 48-10

The Rossford Bulldogs kept pace with the Eastwood Eagles for most of the first half behind an improved defensive effort. However, a scoring surge early in the second half led to a lopsided, 4810 win for the Eagles, dropping Rossford to its fifth straight loss.
