During the live Taser demonstration, Officer Shawn Screptock deploys the Taser at volunteer and student Corey Downing who is flanked by Lt. Craig Revill and Sgt. Kwiatkowski to control his fall. Below, after deployment, the officer retrieves the barbed projectiles from the subject with a special tool, making sure the metal is intact. The picture at right shows the effects of the barbs.
