Law enforcement and first responders from Perrysburg, Wood County and the surrounding area join with officials from Mercy Hospital Perrysburg to remind residents of the importance of buckling up, whether as a driver or passenger.
These shoes lining the lawn in front of Mercy Hospital Perrysburg serve as a sober reminder of what can result from a failure to buckle your seatbelts. In 2021 and 2022, there were 15 fatal crashes. The red shoes represent the 18 people killed and the others are the 98 people injured in crashes.
