The Northwestern Water and Sewer District (The District) has selected Rossford Junior High School as a grant recipient for educational programs focusing on water. The District’s WATER (Water And Environment Teacher Education Resources) grants provide direct funding to support educators in teaching about the significance of water resources in local schools. The program seeks to create awareness about the importance of water and the environment and support responsible environmental stewardship. The grant will be used to purchase metal sifters, nets, collection containers, waders and slides for her classes, who will collect water samples from Grassy Creek and the Rossford Marina to study the health of the waterways.
