The Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc., will hold a chronic disease selfmanagement workshop as part of its ongoing efforts to provide older adults with services and programs which empower them to remain independent and improve the quality of their lives.
The six-week program costs $20 and includes a course manual and CD. Classes will be held on Tuesdays through February 14, from 1 to 3:30 p.m., at the Wood County Senior Center, 140 South Grove Street, Bowling Green.
During this workshop, participants will learn how to find practical ways to deal with symptoms and challenges, set weekly goals, make a step-by-step plan to improve health, make better eating and exercise choices, understand new treatment options and discover better ways to communicate with doctors and family members.
Those interested in attending the chronic disease self-management workshop can call the WCCOA programs department at 419-353-5661 or email programs@wccoa.net to register.
