• After 25 years of service to the City of Rossford, Officer Mark Skala, pictured with his family, celebrated his retirement on January 1, 2023. During his career, Officer Skala was awarded one of Ohio’s Finest Police Officers by the Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio Foundation in 2015; RPD Lifesaving Awards in 2008 and 2014; commendations from Northwood PD in 2001, 2002 and 2007; commendation from Wood County prosecutor’s office in 2005, and commendation from the FBI in 2017.
