Gathering Volumes is a community-based, independent bookstore.

The books are carefully and personally chosen by buyers with feedback from local customers.

Items not in store can be special-ordered and usually arrives within two to four days.

Founded in 2016, Gathering Volumes is in their sixth year as Perrysburg’s local, independent bookstore. “We are excited by the support of the Perrysburg community and enjoy talking about books with customers of all ages,” said owner Denise Phillips.

“Our staff, Jenifer, Kate, and Kristin are all avid readers, and can help guide a reader to our favorites as well as popular titles. Between the four of us, we cover every genre and reading level.”

Post pandemic, the store slowly started rescheduling in-store events including book club, author visits, trivia and more.

“Supporting the fantastic authors of this community and beyond is a core mission for Gathering Volumes and we try to make their visits to Perrysburg fun and enlightening. Being a gathering space for our community and bringing book lovers together is also a core mission for us and although the pandemic may have slowed us down on these missions, we are getting back on track.”

During the pandemic, the shop started offering local delivery, which continues to be a popular way for customers to receive their books quickly and efficiently. There is online shopping for nearly every book in print; they also offer in store pickup and free shipping.
