Elizabeth Wick is the newest member of the Northwestern Water and Sewer District’s board of trustees. She fills a vacant position left by John Cheney. Ms. Wick was named to the board by the Wood County Commissioners earlier this month and took her oath during the board meeting September 8. Her term expires in December 2025.
She is a senior engineer in the compliance services section of EnviroScience, after recently retiring from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency’s northwest office after 33 years of service.
Ms. Wick has a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Toledo.
She is a registered professional engineer and a class III certified wastewater operator in the state of Ohio.
The NWSD board consists of 10 local individuals who provide operations and policy governance. It includes three seats appointed by municipalities, three appointed by townships, three by the Wood County Commissioners and one by the Henry County Commissioners.
