Joining a family legacy, Rossford High School graduate Ben Morrison has committed to playing basketball in the fall at the University of Findlay.
Planning to major in physical therapy, he is the son of Nicole and Brad Morrison.
“It was the perfect fit academically and athletically,” Ben explained.
“My grandfather played basketball there in the late ’50s, my dad played basketball there in the early ’90s and my sister just graduated from Findlay after playing volleyball there for five years.”
The Oilers compete in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
Under Coach Charlie Ernst last season, they made it to the first round of the NCAA Division II National Tournament.
At RHS, Ben was named First Team Northern Buckeye Conference all four years on the Bulldog basketball team, plus First Team District 7 for four years, First Team All Northwest Ohio in 2021 and 2022, and Special Mention All-Ohio in 2022.
He is the third highest alltime scorer in RHS history, and last December joined the 1,000 Point Club.
Ben also played football for four years and was named First Team All NBC this year. He graduated with a 3.75 GPA.
