Premier Bank in Perrysburg is hosting a drive in December collecting gently used men’s coats, shoes and new men’s socks and underwear.
Chrissa Liskai, of Premier Bank, 1077 Louisiana Avenue, said items collected will be donated to Cherry Street Mission.
Since May, the mission has seen an 800 percent increase in individuals experiencing homelessness for the first time in their lives.
“With more cold weather approaching, the need for warmth and a hot meal is essential,” said Nikki Morey, vice president of development for Cherry Street Mission.
Men’s tennis shoes and boots sizes 10 and 11 are especially needed.
Also during December, Premier Bank will offer a shredding drive.
Area residents may bring bags or boxes of paper items to be shredded in exchange for a $5 donation to Cherry Street Mission.
