The weekly “Stroll the Street” event in downtown Rossford Wednesday evenings features music, food trucks, arts and crafts, and children’s activities.
Coordinated by the Rossford Convention and Visitors Bureau, it runs from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. continuing through September 29, at Edward Ford Memorial Park.
A variety of favorite Toledo area food trucks will be on hand, with two of the spots rotating vendors weekly.
These include Deet’s BBQ, Jeannies Comfort Cuisine, K&K Funnel Cakes, Koral Hamburger, Loaded Chicken, NeNe’s Sweets, Poppin George, Rosie’s Rolling Chef Jr., Rusty’s Road Trip, Smyles Icy Treats and Susie Lynne’s Lemonade.
Six new picnic tables are available at Ford Memorial Park, with two additional tables placed along the street. The tables are for visitors to eat and then stroll on, so others can have a place to sit and dine.
A selection of arts and crafts vendors fills the park and will be joined by several community groups throughout the season.
Arts and crafters include Belle’s Face Painting and Art, Clothed in Grace, D.W. Designs, Grandma’s Beauties, Grassy Creek Coffee, Jewelry by Aliza, Jim Zalewski Art, LK Soaps, Nancy’s Glass Wit and Whimsy, Noa Bow, Rhea Moon/Glass Top Creations, Royal Custom Carvings and Tilo’s Succulents and Such.
Visitors also are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy music in the park.
The park gazebo is home to live entertainment with New Moon playing from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on June 30.
The Toledo band features Laurie Swyers on vocals, lead guitar, harmonica; Mary Dick, guitar, vocals, songwriter; Leo Sancrant on bass; and Dario Insenga on drums. They perform original music and interesting covers.
