As of presstime May 25, the following numbers were released by the Wood County Health Department:
•13,215 cases since March 2020–an increase of 52 since last week.
•221 deaths (no increase for two weeks) and 654 hospitalizations since March 2020 (two more since last week). In the past two weeks, there have been 50 active cases in Wood County.
By zip code, there are 23 in Perrysburg, 17 in Bowling Green, 5 in Walbridge and 5 in Rossford.
At Rossford Schools, as of May 21, there were 7 students and no staff members quarantined, or separated due to being exposed to someone with the virus. No students and no staff members were isolated due to having a confirmed coronavirus case.
Cases in long-term care facilities are no longer being reported by the health department. According to the Ohio Department of Health, 5,203,340
According to the Ohio Department of Health, 5,203,340 Ohioans have received at least the first round of the COVID-19 vaccine, which equals 44.5 percent of the population.
In Wood County, 64,769 people, or 49.5 percent of the population, have been vaccinated with at least the first dose.
In Lucas County, there have been 187,810 people, or 43.9 percent, vaccinated with at least the first dose.
