Girl Scouts visit Owens for occupational therapy workshops

The Owens Community College Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program welcomed ten Girl Scouts from Perrysburg and Oak Harbor for a summer workshop, “OT and Innovation.” The scouts learned about occupational therapy, including how it helps people, as well as sensory tools and adaptive equipment.

Cornerstone Community Financial holds 10th annual toy drive

Cornerstone Community Financial Credit Union (CCF), a credit union serving members across Michigan and Ohio, is holding its 10th annual toy drive in honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month.

Fort Meigs to present Life in Early Ohio Sept. 20-21

Fort Meigs will host “Life in Early Ohio” September 20 and 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at their historic site, 29100 West River Road.“Life in Early Ohio” is a living history event featuring the skills, trades and tools necessary to survive the Ohio frontier in the early 1800s.
