The Ohio State University marching band will stop in Rossford for a special concert on its way to the Ohio State versus Michigan football game. The show will be Friday, November 24, at 7 p.m. at Rossford High School. The event is hosted by the Ohio State Alumni Club of Wood County and Rossford Schools.

With Election Day on the horizon, Rossford city council had two relatively quiet and largely uneventful meetings in October. They addressed a high number of resolutions, approving five in total, nearly half of the resolutions brought before the body this calendar year.

Work is progressing on Penta Career Center’s recently acquired building at 1205 Corporate Drive, Holland. At the October 10 school board meeting, Ryan Lee, center director, said demolition of the interior is complete, and they are now entering the design and construction phase.

The Rossford Public Library, 720 Dixie Highway, will hold a presentation and book signing at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1. Authors Mark Weber and Gary Franks will discuss the local history covered in their book.

The Rossford High School chess team is practicing for the 2023-24 season. Competition begins in November for the Toledo Area High School Chess League.

Rosalie Stewart recently completed Rossford Public Library’s 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. She and her family come to story time every Tuesday night, typically donning her Elsa dress.

Northwood VFW 2984 will host a Halloween dance on Saturday, October 28. The public is welcome to attend.
