New tween book club at Rossford Public Library

The Rossford Public Library is excited to host its new tween book club, “Left on ‘Read.’” The club is open to kids and teens between grades 68 and will meet the first Wednesday of the month, with the start-up meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m.

Citizen Advisory Group (CAG), a comprehensive financial services firm in Perrysburg, donated more than 2,800 pairs of socks to benefit Hannah’s Socks. Hannah’s Socks is a nonprofit organization focused on providing new socks to the less fortunate in northwest Ohio and neighboring communities.

Red Cross blood drive set for Saturday, January 31

The American Red Cross is facing a severe blood shortage as requests from hospitals exceed the available supply of blood, leading to about a 35 percent drawdown of blood products in the past month.The shortage is especially serious for platelets and types O, A negative and B negative blood.
