Mercy offers mobile mammograms in July

Mercy Health’s mobile mammography unit has visits scheduled throughout the region in July.The mobile mammography unit is customized for patient convenience and will deliver 3D mammograms to women age 40 and older.

Mazza Museum in Findlay to host summer conference July 15 to 17

Area teachers, librarians and book lovers are invited to the University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum for its 30th annual summer conference Monday to Wednesday, July 15 to 17.The conference features educational presentations from top authors and illustrators in the picture book industry.

Rhythm on the River program set for July 21

The next program of the Rhythm on the River Arts Series in Grand Rapids will be presented by the Duane Malinowski Orchestra at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 21. It will be held in the Wright Pavilion on the towpath between the canal and the Maumee River at the end of Lincoln Street, behind LaRoe’s venue.

WCCOA offers $20 cholesterol screenings

The Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc. is currently scheduling their cholesterol screening clinics for July. You must be a resident of Wood County and 25 years of age or older. The cost is $20 for those 60 and over, $25 for those 25-59.

GLCAP to offer utility assistance

The Great Lakes Community Action Partnership will help eligible Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca and Wood County residents stay cool this summer via their summer crisis program, taking place July 1 through September 30, 2024.Last year, GLCAP assisted 796 families through the program.
