Rossford Riverfest set for Saturday, Aug. 17

Summer events wrap up this weekend when the Rossford Business Association hosts Rossford Riverfest.Free and open to the public, the annual celebration at Veterans Memorial Park and the marina, 300 Hannum Avenue, will take place from 6 to 11 p.m., Saturday, August 17.

Road closures for Perrysburg Hearts the Arts

Several roads will be closed in downtown Perrysburg during the Perrysburg Hearts the Arts fine art fair which runs Friday, August 16 through Sunday, August 18.The following roads will be closed starting at 11 p.m.

Twp. trustees approve SRO contract with Penta

At the request of Police Chief Matt Gazarek, the Perrysburg Township trustees approved a school resource officer contract with Penta Career Center for this school year.At the August 7 meeting, the trustees entered into an agreement to provide the career center with two SROs on a daily basis.

Hockey benefit to be held September 6 for township firefighter with cancer

On Saturday, September 7, at 6 p.m., Tam-OShanter will host a hockey benefit game between the Toledo Fire Firefighters and Wood County FOP. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Troy Bernhard, a long-time firefighter/ paramedic with Perrysburg Township.

Newest 1,000 books reader

Kendall Wolfram completed Rossford Public Library’s 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. The 3-year-old finished the program just in time to start preschool in the fall.Kendall enjoys playing with her sisters, coloring, playing outside and playing dress-up.

Civil Service sets meeting for August 12

The Rossford Civil Service Commission will meet Monday, August 12, 8:30 a.m., at the Mark G. Zuchowski Planning and Zoning Complex, 229 Eagle Point Road. The meeting is open to the public.

Ohio’s sales tax holiday set to run through August 8

Ohio’s sales tax holiday runs for 10 days this year, from July 30 to August 8, 2024. This is the largest and longest sales tax holiday in the state’s history and includes more eligible purchases for customers.
