Perrysburg Twp. to host open house Saturday, October 12

The Perrysburg Township trustees will host a community event on Saturday, October 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 26711 Lime City Road. It is free to all residents and guests.The township fire, police and maintenance departments invite the community to attend.

Camp Miakonda community Halloween party planned

The Erie Shores Council, Scouting America will host its annual community Halloween party presented by the Rotary Club of Reynolds Corners.The event is open to the public and offers haunted attractions and other activities on the grounds of Camp Miakonda, 5600 West Sylvania Avenue, Toledo.

St. Michael’s pierogi sale

St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church is making potato pierogi for pick up on Saturday, October 19. Cost is $15 per dozen. To place an order, call 419-475-2186. Pick up is available after 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Hall, 135 Walnut Street, Rossford.

Pumpkin Patch set for Oct. 19 at Witzler-Shank-Walker

Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home will host its Pumpkin Patch event Saturday, October 19, from noon to 2 p.m., at 222 East South Boundary Street, Perrysburg.Those attending may donate canned goods or imperishable food products to receive a free pumpkin.

Rossford Senior Center

Lunch is served Monday through Friday, at noon. Menus are subject to change, and nutritional values and ingredient information are available upon request. Call the center at 419-666-8494 to register or for more information.The suggested donation is $2, age 60+, and $5, for those under age 60.

Park district plans fall prescribed burns

The Wood County Park District Stewardship Department is planning to conduct prescribed fires in several park properties this fall. Locations of the bums may be in Bradner Preserve, Rudolph savanna area, and Sawyer Quarry Preserve in Perrysburg Township.
