The Northwestern Water and Sewer District has provided the following updates on projects. All work is weather permitting.Perrysburg Township: Lime City Road waterline Through January, Lime City Road, between U.S. Route 20 and Deimling Road, is closed for waterline and storm sewer installation.

Village Players offers holiday performance Dec. 13-15

The Village Players Theatre will celebrate the holidays with a production of “It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play.”The dramatic comedy will be offered for one weekend only on Friday and Saturday, December 13 and 14, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, December 15, at 2 p.m.

Chorale presents Christmas concert and carol sing

Perrysburg Chorale will present a Christmas choir concert and carol sing at two area churches this December. Concerts are scheduled for Saturday, December 14, at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 East Front Street, Perrysburg, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, December 22, at 3 p.m.

Notice to Wood County dog owners

Matthew Oestreich, Wood County auditor, announces that beginning December 1, applications for 2025 dog registrations may be filed.Ohio law provides that before January 31 of each year, all owners of dogs three months of age or older shall be registered in the county in which the dog is kept.

Possible origins of the Friday the 13th legend

The number 13 is widely considered unlucky, so much so that certain buildings do not list a 13th floor. It’s hard to avoid 13 when it makes up a day each and every month, and even more so when the 13th falls on a Friday.
