Family of Dr. Lee makes donation to Care Closet

The family of Dr. Scott Lee, a member of the Rossford High School Class of 1985, has made a contribution to the backpack program at Rossford Schools. In his honor, Lee’s family is donating $5,000 annually for five years.

Rossford resident arrested on multiple charges

On Tuesday, October 15, at 11:37 a.m., the Rossford Police Department received a report of a juvenile pointing a gun at another person on Walnut Street near Dixie Highway. The Rossford Junior- Senior High School was immediately placed into lock-down, due to its close proximity to the campus.

Rossford Eagles Auxiliary annual holiday craft show

Rossford Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 2322 will hold their annual holiday craft show on Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 658 Lime City Road. Handmade crafts will be available along with a vendor raffle and 50/50 drawing. Breakfast burritos and lunch will be available for purchase.

Civil Service sets meeting for Oct. 25

The Rossford Civil Service Commission will meet Friday, October 25, at 8:30 a.m., at the Mark G. Zuchwoski Safety, Planning and Zoning Complex, 229 Eagle Pont Road. The meeting is open to the public.

With a growing need for construction workers, the Ohio Carpenters’ Joint Apprenticeship and Training Program held an open house on October 3. The event hosted state and local officials, business owners, labor representatives and close to 800 local high school students.
