Winterfest returns Friday and Saturday, February 21-22

Perrysburg Winterfest 2025, presented by Downtown Perrysburg, Inc. (DPI), will be February 2122. Join the festivities in historic Downtown Perrysburg on Louisiana Avenue and East Second Street for the 15th annual celebration.

Presidents Day closings

In observance of Presidents Day, the following offices and businesses will be closed on Monday, February 17, unless noted otherwise.

Northwestern Water and Sewer District projects

The Northwestern Water and Sewer District delivers water and sewer services to more than 20,000 customer accounts in Wood, Henry, Sandusky and Hancock counties. Although many of the projects are underground, utility work can impact water and sewer service and roads throughout the area.

CAUV filing time nears

Matthew Oestreich, Wood County auditor, has reported that the 2025 Current Agricultural Use Value (CAUV) renewal forms have been mailed to property owners enrolled in the program. Eligible property owners, who are not currently enrolled, also may apply for the program.

NAMI offers variety of programs for February

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Wood County is a self-help organization offering free events, educational classes, support groups and other programs that address mental health for the Wood County community.

Safe Communities reminds residents to celebrate safely

Safe Communities of Wood County recently announced that there have been zero fatal crashes year-todate.In February, those celebrating Valentine’s Day are reminded to plan for a sober ride and do not make destructive decisions on the roadways.
