TARTA receives awards from state transit association

The Toledo Area Transit Authority (TARTA) received two awards during the Ohio Public Transit Association’s (OPTA) Ohio Needs Transit Conference and Expo. The event was held recently at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

Inclusive Pep Rally/Tailgate Party set for November 22

On Friday, November 22, the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities will host its annual Inclusive Pep Rally/Tailgate Party. The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and will be held, rain or shine, at the board’s headquarters in South Toledo, 1154 Larc Lane.

The Northwestern Water and Sewer District (the District) reported that after its recent financial audit by Auditor of State Keith Faber’s office, good record keeping has qualified the District for the Auditor of State Award with Distinction.

Last winter season, more than 1,100 households received emergency heating assistance through the Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) Winter Crisis Program.
