Hospice of Northwest Ohio seeks hair care volunteers

Hospice of Northwest Ohio has an immediate need for volunteers who are licensed hairdressers or barbers. These volunteers will help improve the quality of life for hospice patients in our community.

Area residents named to dean’s list at BGSU

Five Rossford residents were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Bowling Green State University. They are: Kira Paule, Megan Jarosz, Margaret Rohrs, Kaitlyn Crawford and Monica Pupik.

Perrysburg Twp. food distribution

The Perrysburg Township food distribution will be held Thursday, January 9, from 8 to 10 a.m. The township fire department will sponsor the food give-away at the township building, 26609 Lime City Road, the second Thursday of each month.

Mercy Health’s mobile mammogram schedule

Mercy Health’s mobile mammography unit has visits scheduled throughout the region in January. The mobile mammography unit is customized for patient convenience and will deliver 3D mammograms to women age 40 and older.

WM to offer additional services during the holidays

Waste Management (WM) will provide Rossford residents additional services during the holidays. Service for excess holiday trash will be offered on Thursday, December 26 and Thursday, January 2. Residents should ensure their trash and recyclables are out by 6 a.m.

Wood County

Winter break at 577

The 577 Foundation’s gardens and grounds will be closed on the following dates to allow staff and volunteers a break: Tuesday, December 24; Wednesday, December 25; Tuesday, December 31; and Wednesday, January 1. The Welcome Center and Curiosity Shop also will close for cleaning and restocking.
