National Museum of the Great Lakes offers free admission during Community Appreciation Days

This month, the National Museum of the Great Lakes is hosting Community Appreciation Days, offering free admission from January 18 through January 20, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.’s holiday.

Mercy Health to launch urgent care network

Mercy Health is acquiring 10 facilities from Greater Midwest Urgent Cares to launch a network of urgent care centers in Toledo and the surrounding area. The new ownership of the facilities will take effect on April 1.

Rossford Junior/High School Hosts Northwest Ohio Teen Book Festival

Rossford Junior/High School will host the fourth annual Northwest Ohio Teen Book Festival on March 15, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.The event will include writing and reading workshops with participating authors, a Mad Hatter’s tea party escape room, a community book club and more.

Local resident receives 2025 Governor’s Award for the Arts

Sara Jane DeHoff of Perrysburg was among the nine Ohioans and arts organizations selected to receive a Governor’s Award for the Arts this year. The Governor's Award has showcased and celebrated exceptional Ohio artists, arts organizations and arts leaders, supporters and educators since 1971.
