Toledo Museum of Art to host America 250-Ohio: Homecoming and Picnic

The Toledo Museum of Art (TMA) announces it will serve as an official host site for America 250-Ohio: Homecoming and Picnic, a statewide celebration bringing communities together across Ohio. The free, family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, July 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Northwest Ohio – Wildlife District Two On the opening morning of the 2025 early goose and teal hunting season, State Wildlife Officer Eric Von-Almen, assigned to Wood County, observed hunters along the Maumee River shooting 20 minutes before the start of the legal hunting time.

The Toledo Repertoire Theatre announces its upcoming production of the classic Mark Twain novel “Tom Sawyer,” running July 10 through 12, under the direction of Scott Regan.Set in Missouri in the 1840s, audience members will see classic scenes from the novel.

Hospice to host ‘After Your Parent Dies’ support group

Community members are invited to attend an interactive support group aimed at helping adults adjust to the loss of one or both parents. After Your Parent Dies will be held the second Wednesday of each month from 4 to 5:30 p.m., at the Clifford Hospice Center, 800 South Detroit Avenue, Toledo.

WCCOA offers cholesterol screenings in Bowling Green and Grand Rapids

The Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc., is currently scheduling cholesterol screening clinics for July.To register, participants must be a resident of Wood County and 25 years of age or older. The cost is $30. Screenings require an appointment and pretest instructions.
