Wood County Sheriff’s office investigates fatal crash

On June 11, at 5:22 a.m., the Wood County Sheriffs office investigated a two vehicle crash which resulted in one fatality on State Route 582 near Tontogany Road, Washington Township.The crash involved a Honda Goldwing motorcycle and a Hyundai Santa Fe.

Knorek named to Miami Univ. dean’s list

Drew Knorek, of Rossford, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Miami University.The honor recognizes students who are ranked in the top 20 percent of undergraduate students within each division.

Rossford native serves with the next generation of U.S. Navy recruiters

Petty Officer 2nd Class Lucy Hoskins, a native of Rossford, is serving in the U.S. Navy assigned to Navy Recruiting Orientation Unit (NORU) with the next generation of U.S. Navy Recruiters.Hoskins is a 2020 graduate of Rossford High School. Hoskins joined the Navy five years ago.

ServeOhio honors young volunteers

ServeOhio, Ohio’s commission on service and volunteerism, in partnership with InnerView Technologies, recently recognized 2,918 high school students with the Community Impact volunteer award.

Mottor named to dean’s list at UMN

Autumn Elaine Mottor, of Rossford, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Minnesota Crookston.Mottor is majoring in communications.To be placed on the dean’s list, a student must complete 12 or more lettergraded credits while attaining a minimum 3.
