Grand Rapids’ 250th Lecture Series continues on August 1

The Grand Rapids Historical Society continues its 250th Lecture Series celebrating 250 years of American history. The series will be held in the auditorium of the Historic Grand Rapids Town Hall, 24282 Front Street.Dr. Adam Thomas will present the Declaration of Independence, at 7 p.m.

Wood County Fair to hold first-ever ‘BGSU Day’

Sharing a location in one of America’s best college towns, Bowling Green State University and the Wood County Fair are teaming up to turn the fairgrounds orange and brown for the first-ever BGSU Day on Friday, August 7, as part of the fair’s programming and events.

Perrysburg Twp. food distribution

The Perrysburg Township food distribution will be held Thursday, August 13, from 8 to 10 a.m.The township fire department will sponsor the food give-away at the township building, 26609 Lime City Road, the second Thursday of each month.

Free program focuses on educating seniors

The Wellness Initiative for Senior Education (WISE) Program celebrates healthy aging and educates older adults on a variety of topics.This free program will take place at the Perrysburg Senior Center beginning on Wednesday, August 5, and is open to anyone 60 or older.

Rhythm On The River Arts Series continues on August 2

The next program of the Rhythm on the River Arts Series in Grand Rapids will be presented by The Four of Us on Sunday, August 2, at 4 p.m.The programs are held in the Wright Pavilion located on the towpath between the canal and the Maumee River at the end of Lincoln Street behind LaRoe’s Venue.
