Learn ASL at the Rossford Public Library

Rossford Public Library is offering free community classes to learn American Sign Language (ASL).This eight-week course is designed for adults and older children, providing essential ASL skills and knowledge. Instruction is provided through an educational partnership with Owens Community College.

Owens to offer bachelor’s degree in nursing

Owens Community College will launch its first bachelor’s degree program in its 60-year history: the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Completion Program.

Be a Horse Hero, Aug 22

The Healing Barn’s Be a Horse Hero benefit will be held Friday, August 22, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., at the Hilton Garden Inn, 6165 Levis Commons Boulevard, Perrysburg.The Healing Barn is a Northwest Ohio horse rescue facility dedicated to rescuing abused and neglected horses.

Bulldog Foundation to hold golf tournament

The Bulldog Foundation will hold its eighth annual golf outing on Monday, September 22, at Belmont Country Club, 29601 Bates Road, Perrysburg.Cost is $130 per person and includes lunch, golf, carts and prizes for winners.

Wood County Sheriff’s Office increases patrols

Since August 15, the Wood County Sheriff’s Office has been conducting increased patrols, which will continue through Sunday, August 31, thanks to grant funding from the Ohio Traffic Safety Office during the National Blitz Campaign “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.

Rossford Public Library adds new member to 1,000 books club

The Rossford Public Library recognizes Bennett Miedema for completing the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program.Bennett is five and onehalf years old, the oldest of three siblings, and will be starting kindergarten in two weeks.
