The Wood County sheriff’s office is holding a pet supply and food drive this month in honor of the late Sergeant Jody Swoap and Deputy Kert Appelhans.

The department is seeking, dog/cat food, treats, toys, cat litter, leashes, collars, collapsible crates, bleach, isopropyl alcohol, laundry detergent, sandwich bags, distilled water, Dawn dish soap, toilet paper and paper towels. Donations will be accepted through August 31 and can be dropped off at the Perrysburg Messenger Journal office, 130 Louisiana Avenue, or at the Wood County sheriff’s office, 1960 East Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green. “The donated items will be distributed between Dogworks, the Wood County Dog Shelter and the Wood County Humane Society,” said Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn.
