Rossford police officer Brandon Lewis was promoted to sergeant at the city council meeting and took the oath of office from Mayor MacKinnon. The mayor noted that the officer “rose through the ranks very quickly” because “he is the definition of community policing.” Police Chief Todd Kitzler said the department’s sergeants are road patrol supervisors, which requires “a lot of knowledge, good judgment and good character.” “We’re proud to have him promoted to sergeant,” the chief added.
Concerns about a construction company not paying city income taxes were raised at the June 13 meeting of Rossford City Council.
