The Wood County sheriff’s office is increasing patrols Monday, May 24 and running through Sunday, June 6 as part of the national campaign “Click it or Ticket.”

Deputies will be looking for violations such as driving under the influence, failure to yield and speeding.

“All of these are leading factors in fatal crashes,” explained Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn. “There will be zero tolerance for driving under the influence and seat belt violations.”

The sheriff’s department is conducting the blitz campaign with grant funds received from the Ohio Traffic Safety Office.
