Every year, the Ridis stores in northwest Ohio collect donations from customers for two weeks before Thanksgiving. Each store chooses a local charity and matches the donations up to $500. In 2021, the total donation was $10,623.12.

The Northwood Ridis, 7422 Wales Road, selected Northwood VFW 2984 for the past two years.

On March 15, Moe Ridi, executive vice president, and staff members Melissa Jones and Terri Martin presented post commander Jake Przybysz with a check for $2,667.55.
