Penta culinary students participate in tomato project for area families

Penta Career Center culinary arts students recently processed 2,500 pounds of tomatoes in a project to assist area families in need.
On September 13 and 14, students peeled, seeded and froze the tomatoes to donate to the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo. The Islamic Center serves more than 300 people on the second Saturday of each month, as part of their community meal program.
