Friends and former players of legendary Rossford High School basketball coach Joe Stalma are planning a full page ad in an upcoming edition of the Rossford Record Journal to celebrate his 90th birthday.

Anyone who would like to share a short, favorite memory about the coach, to be part of the ad, can send the message by email to editor@rossford.com.

Messages are due by Sunday, May 2.

Donations also are being accepted for the ad by calling the newspaper at 419-874-4491.

A “Happy Birthday” singalong for Coach Stalma will take place on Monday, May 10, at 7 p.m. It will be in the courtyard of Kingston of Perrysburg, 333 East Boundary Street, Perrysburg, and the public is invited to participate.
