These photographs from the Sandusky Bay chapter of the Archaeological Society of Ohio show some of the artifacts recovered or used by Native Americans who have lived at the Indian Hills site, dating back to A.D. 500.
Indian Hills site recommended for use as greenspace
The former Indian Hills Elementary School property, now owned by the city, likely will become a park with little development.
At a recent city council meeting, Councilman Greg Marquette said the facilities committee discussed options in September for the 13 acres on Glenwood Road.
“It is unlikely the city would be able to build anything at this site,” he said.
