The number of COVID-19 cases in Wood County remains high, but dropped somewhat from a peak last week.

As of presstime September 28, the following numbers were released by the Wood County Health Department:

•15,993 cases since March 2020–an increase of 480 in the past week. 237 cases (or 49 percent) were among patients age 29 and younger.
